Regardless of your skill level there is a place around Boulder for you to climb. Walk into any outdoor shop to get some suggestions for climbs you can do at Sanitas or Flagstaff parks. If you prefer to climb indoors then you can check out The Spot which has a great wall. Also it is possible to go to the Boulder Rock Club or Movement for indoor climbing.

Riding a bike or walking the forest trails

Taking a bike or walking along Boulder Creek is a great way to spend an afternoon. Though many hotels and Bed’N’Breakfasts offer free bikes, if you don’t have one you can go and rent one at UBikes. A jaunt along the creek will showcase some of the best surrounding nature to the city and get you out into the great out doors.

Visit Chautaguna Park

On the South West Edge of the city this extension of Boulder Mountain Park offers some of the city’s best and most photographed vistas. Established in the 1800’s this park offers countless paths and gardens for hikers, bikers, picnickers and dog walkers. Always free to visit, guests can also – for a fee – choose to stay the night in one of the many cottages on the park grounds.

Visit the Pearl Street Mall

A great spot to mix in dining, shopping and people watching the Pearl Street Mall is certainly a place to visit while in Boulder. Expensive stores like Banana Republic and Abercrombie & Fitch mix with local boutiques and relaxed cafes. Each day there are varied street performers who entertain and enthrall passers by. The Pearl Street Mall is a great place to sit in a cafe and watch Boulder life go by while peeking up, every now and then, to the great mountainous views.
